Finally I have begun watching Downtown Abbey and after the one episode I can see what all the hype is about. I have been out of the loop in many Downtown Abbey discussions but having now bought series one I can see myself catching up very soon. There is certainly something fascinating about a truly British period drama – the costumes, the homes and the superb cast. Plus the whole show has a truly authentic feel.
